The Indian Embassy in Moscow hosted a reception on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the Republic Day of India. Ambassador Vinay Kumar and the guest of honor, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Andrei Rudenko made speeches to the gathering.
The ambassador congratulated the Padma Prize winner Mrs. Lyudmila Victorovna Khokhlov. The program of the event also featured cultural performances reflecting India’s artistic traditions.
The celebration was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of Russian government agencies, business, media and the Indian diaspora. Ambassador Vinay Kumar unfurled the national flag and laid flowers on the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the embassy premises.
